Governments are currently meeting in Poland to work out a new global deal on climate change. Some countries are pleading poverty, saying the financial crisis has left money so tight, they need to concentrate on more immediate priorities like keeping people in their jobs and homes.

Achim Steiner is the Executive Director of the UN's environment programme. He believes you can fight climate change and the economic downturn at the same time. Is he right? He talks to Zeinab Badawi.
