From the Barbican Hall, London, Catherine Bott presents the conclusion of Stephane Deneve and the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Symphony Orchestra's concert of French music spanning the 20th Century.
With Guillaume Connesson's Supernova, written in 1997 to accompany a classic silent film by FW Murnau - a work which has since established itself as a concert piece in its own right. That is followed by the second suite from Ravel's ballet score Daphnis et Chloe, which evokes the decadence of early 1900s Paris.
