Shirley Valentine is the movie about a middle-aged Liverpudlian housewife who escapes a life of domestic drudgery for a fling with a handsome Greek waiter, a fling which helps her discover the girl she used to be.

The film became a worldwide hit, capturing the public's imagination and making an international star of its lead actor. Pauline Collins, Tom Conti, Alison Steadman, Sylvia Sims and Gillian Kearney join writer Willy Russell and producer/director Lewis Gilbert in recalling one of the most successful British movies of the 1980s.
