Five American teen couples arrive at an Idaho cul-de-sac to participate in an experiment asking them to see what kind of parents they would make, whether they could handle adult responsibilities and to test their relationships by looking after other people's babies and children.

The couples are caring for teenage kids. Some are easy, laid-back, respectful and responsible, while others test the limits. But as demanding as parenting is, some of the teen couples find that the hardest struggles are taking place within themselves and their own relationships. One couple splits up entirely and another couple teeters on the brink.
