Bianca persuades Whitney to go to her exam, and lends her a lucky pen. Later, as a treat, Bianca paints Whitney鈥檚 nails. Mr Ackroyd, Whitney鈥檚 teacher, arrives and tells Bianca that Whitney hasn鈥檛 completed a single exam.

Bianca鈥檚 furious with Whitney and the two argue. The doorbell rings and they鈥檙e shocked to find Whitney鈥檚 mother, Debra Dean, on the doorstep.

Syd picks Bradley up from the hospital. Everyone thinks Bradley鈥檚 a hero and a party is held in his honour in the Vic. Bradley鈥檚 upset that Dot hasn鈥檛 come to the party, so visits her.

Dot feels guilty about the fire. Bradley tells Dot that he and Dotty have never had anyone who loves them as much as she does. She says he鈥檚 the son she always wanted.

Dawn鈥檚 annoyed by the mess in the flat. Garry isn鈥檛 happy that Phil鈥檚 offered to lend them money. In the pub, Shirley taunts Dawn and spills drink over her. Phil throws Shirley out, and persuades Garry to take the loan whilst Dawn鈥檚 upstairs changing.

Dawn鈥檚 thrilled and hugs Phil. However, Garry then tells Dawn he鈥檚 spoken to Minty, he won鈥檛 sell his share of the house.

Dot doesn鈥檛 eat anything that Dotty makes for her and hides all her pills. Pat sees the tension between grandmother and granddaughter and tells Dot she wishes her grandchildren were half as considerate as Dotty.

As a test Dot leaves her pills on the kitchen table, but Dotty doesn鈥檛 touch them.

Christian and Lucy continue to make plans for the new caf茅. Bianca wants 拢75 a week compensation for loss of earnings or she鈥檒l phone Ian.
