Enjoy the perfect blend of talking, with music in between.
Wednesday 17th June 2009
06:30 – News and Sport
06:35 – Chris tells us about his training session at the gym today. We also talk about our karoake evening tonight, and the fact that Chris has written a song
06:55 – There’s a theory that everyone in Stoke has a story about Robbie Williams. We try and test it with people texting in their stories
07:00 - News and Sport
07:05 – More Robbie Williams stories and we discuss what we should each sing tonight
07:20 – Oasis and Take That are both getting great reviews on the road at the moment. Chris wants to play Mark Owen singing 'Shine' on Jonathan Ross on Friday. He thinks it might upset them, but wants to play it anyway
07:20 – We have the Mark Owen track, and actually it sounds fine. Much better on the radio than it did on the telly apparently.
07:30 - News and Sport
07:35 – We have an in-depth discussion about burgers and we now all fancy one. We then play the real version of Shine by Take That which sounds lovely on a sunny day
07:45 – Chris is looking forward to revisiting some of his old haunts today as we’re in Stoke tonight, and for those that don’t know that much about Stoke-on-Trent, Aled presents his very own travel guide
07:55 – Nice reaction to Aled’s guide, let’s hope none of the locals try and hurt him
08:00 - News and Sport
08:05 – We’ll be checking in with Aled very soon, who’s live from the Potteries
08:20 – Aled is in position with some bonus extra tickets. He can’t get do them now though, 'cos there’s something cryptic and small in his way that he needs to get moved
08:30 - News and Sport
08:35 – Aled has moved his small obstruction and is now in position in Stoke giving away 80 special tickets for tonight’s Karoake
08:45 – We talk about Cheggers TV which is like a live webcam service, and then we re-run Aled’s guide to Stoke-on-Trent, for those that didn’t hear it earlier
09:00 – Tedious Link – The Charlatans 'How High'
09:05 – Tedious mistakes, and Chris and Dave do an impromptu Marcus Bent rap, and then a Frank Lampard one and one for Ugo Ehiogu
09:20 – We find out Rachel’s opinion on a selection of playlist tracks and also her opinion on some of the Radio 1 on air line-up. We then play the very disturbing Debbie McGee version of the KOL track. It makes us feel dirty
09:30 - News and Sport
09:35 – We run through some possible track options for the parody album. Some are good, and others not so much
09:45 – Cheggers' Pop Quiz with Lloyd and Ben
10:00 – We have a live simulcast with Jo Whiley on ‘The Pigeon’
