Chris has the morning off, so Vernon Kay sits in with the rest of the breakfast team.

Monday 13th July 2009

06:30 - News and Sport

06:35 – Vernon is in for Chris for today. We run through our weekend plans, including Vernon and Dave going to see Oasis on Saturday, Dom and his magic show and Carrie watching Tom do a triathlon

06:50 – Vern and Dave don’t really understand how England drew the ashes so ask Carrie to explain it all. We still don’t really understand and Aled was also confused as to why there were so many Australians in Cardiff over the weekend. We also pose the question of why more people aren’t killed by cricket balls and golf balls

07:00 - News and Sport

07:05 – We play the clip of Mark Webber after he won the German Grand Prix. We talk about the fact that Formula One can be a bit boring, and should be more like Mario Kart, where you can earn upgrades for your car as you go along

07:20 – Tiger Woods is in town for the Open and we display our lack of cricket knowledge once again

07:25 – We plug the conclusion to the Search For Scott which whittles down to the final three today from four. Vernon would have liked to have been considered, but he’s probably too tall

07:30 - News and Sport

07:45 – JLS are in tomorrow and we draw the comparisons between them and the Jonas Brothers and - to a lesser extent - Folk Face

07:50 – Vernon and Dave run down the chart from 10 to 1

07:55 – We talk about the taxi situation at Wembley on Saturday and Vernon trying to rustle a cab

07:59 – More about cab rustling and the fact that everybody does it. It’s like a Saturday night sport

08:00 - News and Sport

08:05 – We talk about the live streaming and Steve in London noticing that Dom is wearing different headphones. We also talk about live streaming from space on nasa.tv which has got to be for saddos

08:15 – Vernon’s brother Steven is on to set today’s maths question, as Dave is still trying to decide which subject to do for Mastermind

08:30 - News and Sport

08:35 – Steven is here with the answer to the question and Dave gets it right amazingly

08:45 – Grimmy on the phone to plug his 3 hour T In The Park special tonight from 9pm

09:00 – Tedious Link: Placebo 'Nancy Boy'

09:05 – We run through Dave’s problem with the Tedious Link this morning

09:15 – We chat with Dom to promote this Wednesday’s Harry Potter Day on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 1.

09:25 – Cheggers' Pop Quiz is coming, and Vern wants Dave to hold his hand as he doesn’t fully understand it

09:30 - News and Sport

09:45 – Cheggers' Pop Quiz with Kara and Natalie; it’s a draw so they’re both back tomorrow

10:00 – Quick chat with Sara about JLS and the day ahead
