The Scottish Ensemble and Tenebrae in MacMillan: Seven Last Words from the Cross. Ravel: Petite Symphonie a Cordes (Rudolf Barshai - viola).

The Scottish Ensemble team up with the British chamber choir Tenebrae to perform James MacMillan's masterpiece, the Seven Last Words from the Cross which was originally commissioned by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ for holy week and written specially for the Scottish Ensemble. The programme also features an arrangement for string ensemble by Soviet viola player Rudolf Barshai of Ravel's String Quartet.
