Scottish Ensemble and Tenebrae
The Scottish Ensemble and Tenebrae in MacMillan: Seven Last Words from the Cross. Ravel: Petite Symphonie a Cordes (Rudolf Barshai - viola).
The Scottish Ensemble team up with the British chamber choir Tenebrae to perform James MacMillan's masterpiece, the Seven Last Words from the Cross which was originally commissioned by the 蜜芽传媒 for holy week and written specially for the Scottish Ensemble. The programme also features an arrangement for string ensemble by Soviet viola player Rudolf Barshai of Ravel's String Quartet.
