Presented by Catherine Bott.

In the climax to their Haydn the Innovator season, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Singers are conducted by Gianandrea Noseda in Haydn's Creation. In a work that opens with music representing the grandeur and desolation of chaos waiting for the Almighty's creative touch, moving through the blazing affirmation 'and there was light', and then continuing with the feeling of wonder at the sight of the unfolding universe, Haydn puts his own stamp on musical conventions of the period.
