Hardtalk is at the Longannet coal fired power station in Scotland to view what could be a breakthrough in attempts to cut global greenhouse gas emissions. Scottish Power is trialing a small prototype carbon capture unit which traps carbon dioxide from the station. The company's chief executive, Nick Horler, says the technology could be fitted to the thousands of coal fired power stations around the world and lead to big cuts in their CO2 emissions. It sounds good but is it a dangerous delusion? Nick Horler talks to Stephen Sackur.
