Sarah Montague speaks to General Khodaidad, the Afghan Minister for Counter Narcotics and asks whether he has had any success, and why won't he be allowed to continue.
The Afghan President Hamid Karzai is struggling to form a government. Seventeen of the twenty four people he wanted to appoint to his cabinet have been rejected by parliament, among them General Khodaidad. As minister for counter narcotics he has spent the past five years in government trying to solve Afghanistan's opium problem. Sarah Montague asks whether he has had any success, and why won't he be allowed to continue.
