On Sunday, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ National Orchestra of Wales plays host to the grand final of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Young Musician competition at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. That concert is being broadcast both on Radio 3 and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ 4 TV, and throughout this week's Afternoons Jonathan Swain presents performances from the final rounds (the percussion final forms part of Performance on 3 on Friday evening). There's also a strong focus on youth in the other music this week, featuring competition finalists from previous years, and on Wednesday we go live to the orchestra's home in ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff.
