The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic, under its principal conductor Gianandrea Noseda, brings the critically-acclaimed cycle of Mahler symphonies performed by Manchester's orchestras to a climactic close with the Austrian composer's unfinished 10th Symphony as completed by Derek Cooke. Before that, Anthony Payne's 'The Period of Cosmographie' is a reflection on the powers of the universe and a final ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ commission in this cycle that explores Mahler's influence on modern composers.
