Formed at school in New Zealand in 1996. they assumed the same surname, as they saw themselves as "brothers in rock." Fronted by Dolf De Datsun, with Phil and Christian Datsun on guitars, and Matt Datsun on drums, they won their local radio station's Battle of the Bands two years in a row, prompting them to set up their own label and shortly afterwards they began their sudden rise to fame. Recorded at the Nottingham Boat House in 2002 after the release of their first album the Datsuns they perform tracks from that debut album.
