Last Night of the Proms 1910 - Part 2

Concluding a recreation of the famous Last Night of the Proms from 1910. Paul Daniel conducts the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO in music by Henry Wood, Edward German, Dorothy Forster and Elgar.

In the first of two concerts paying tribute to Proms founder conductor Sir Henry Wood, Paul Daniel joins the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Concert Orchestra in a recreation of the mammoth Last Night of the Proms from 1910.

The original programme has been supplemented by a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ commission, continuing Wood's commitment to new works. David Matthews' Dark Pastoral is based on a small fragment of a Cello Concerto by Vaughan Williams.
