Crime drama series about a private police consultant with OCD. Stottlemeyer calls Monk to the scene of an electronic store robbery where the burglar took all the ingredients to make a remote control bomb: the same bomb that was used to kill Trudy. The fingerprints on the crowbar used to break in indicate a six-fingered man: Trudy's killer. Monk seeks revenge and is accused of murder. He goes on the run.
