Episode 4

Seven young explorers relive the legend of Dr David Livingstone. The explorers face a trek of more than 100 miles across the Mbarika mountains, where no expedition has gone before.

Trekking in Tanzania's remote Selous Game Reserve, the explorers have a magical moment as they get up close to a herd of elephants. After weeks away from civilisation, two of the team earn a luxury trip to a five-star lodge, and are particularly excited to use flushing toilets again.

The leaders reveal a huge challenge ahead - a trek of more than a hundred miles across the Mbarika mountains, where no expedition has gone before. Before setting off they take part in a unique ceremony carried out by their Mnyati guards, including the slaughter of four sheep.
