Carmen's bullying of Nicole escalates. Theresa steps up her campaign of intimidation against Robbie, coercing him into an illegal act. Eileen's nose is put out of joint.

Nicole is on her way to school when she is set upon by Carmen and her friends. Carmen promises to make the bullying stop if Nicole can get 50 pounds by the end of the day. Nick arrives at the last minute, but Nicole denies that anything was going on when he asks. Nicole goes to Leo and asks if he can help with the money but he can't. She leaves when Leyla arrives. Leyla tell Leo that she's found a flat for him, but Leo is reluctant to look at it, happy to stay with the Brodies indefinitely. Nicole goes to the salon to ask Hayley for an advance but, again, no luck. She finally decides to see her dad, but finds him busy arguing with Leyla over Leo. Nicole runs off, unhappy that Michael has no time for her. Preparing for his radio interview, Nick is shocked to find Nicole going through Charlie's pockets. She runs off. When Nick finds her she is being physically harassed by Carmen, so he intervenes, allowing Nicole to escape. Nicole is shocked when Carmen later approaches her to apologise, having been lectured by Nick. Nicole seeks Joanne's advice about Nick (without revealing who he is). It seems that he's always there for her, despite his protests. Joanne feels sure that this guy must fancy Nicole and tells her to go for it. Nicole goes all out to impress Nick and buys a new dress from Hola, but when he sees her he is furious - it's one of Hannah's dresses. Nicole can't understand why he's so angry. Nick finally realises the coincidence and apologises to Nicole. But when he comforts her she misconstrues it and tries to kiss him. He tells her unequivocally that what she wants cannot happen. Nicole is inconsolable.

Meanwhile, Leyla becomes increasingly frustrated with Leo's behaviour and explodes with rage. She tells Michael that she can take it no more and that she and Adeeb will be leaving that night. Michael eventually chooses Leyla over Leo, and puts down a deposit on a flat for his brother. When Leo arrives home, Michael tells him it's time to go.

Theresa steps up her campaign to use Robbie as her lackey. Today she tells him she needs a set of the Salon's books - she's planned a scam in which he will act dumb when a fake estate agent comes round trying to sell the salon. If he doesn't comply, she will tell everyone that he stole the charity money on fundraising day. Robbie complies and gets her the books. She tells him that Corin will be coming round this afternoon so he better get rid of Jack and Hayley. Robbie asks her what happens next, they'll know he was involved in the scam. Theresa replies that he better leave town. Robbie realises it's his only option. Robbie fakes an electrical fault in the salon which gets rid of Jack, but he's finding Hayley harder to shift. Knowing that she's keen on Leo, he seeks his help. He tells Leo to take Hayley on a date which he duly does. Packing his bags, Robbie realises that Shieldinch has become home for him now. When Corin arrives, Robbie puts a spanner in the works by declaring that the salon is definitely not for sale. Corin and Theresa's scam is stymied by this. Later, when Hayley is telling Robbie about the wonderful day she's had with Leo, Robbie is convinced he did the right thing. However, on the way home he is attacked and beaten by two men while a menacing Theresa stands watching.

It's the day of Eileen's Emergency Responders event but she's booked the community centre for the wrong day. Hastily she rearranges it in the Tall Ship. When eventually she gets the event up and running, she finds that everyone would rather listen to Charlie run rings around Nick Morrison on the radio than watch a first aid demonstration. She is further aggrieved when Nick fails to mention her initiative in favour of Michael's, a drug scheme which does not prove popular with the locals.
