Eight novice runners and radio host Stephen Nolan undergo training for the Belfast City Marathon. The runners tackle their longest run yet, and Stephen struggles with the regime.
2011 will be the 30th year of the Belfast City Marathon and it will prove a memorable experience for eight first-timers who have all decided to radically alter their lifestyles and take on the challenge of a lifetime. They will be joined by larger-than-life radio host Stephen Nolan whose battle with the bulge has been well documented.
Winter weather has interrupted training but the group face the daunting task of running up Cave Hill, and face their longest run yet as they attempt to cover seven miles from Belfast to Comber. But it is clear that Stephen Nolan is struggling to stick to the regime, and trainer William Moore must confront him at work!
