Gabriel and Leo join forces to find out who attacked Gabriel's Arcade. Scarlett makes a shock decision. And Raymond faces the reality of his relationship with Eileen.
Leo and Joanne are all loved up and she's taking more than a little delight in rubbing Gabriel's nose in it. Meanwhile, Lenny is still miffed that Gabriel dropped him as a potential business partner, in favour of brother Leo. He's biding his time to catch them when they fall. Gabriel lets Adeeb and Conor play the over-18 machines, much to Joanne's disgust. Suddenly, the arcade is invaded by a gang of baseball-bat wielding neds. Adeeb gets hit. Leo's combat techniques rise to the fore as he wades into the gang, quickly sorting them out. As the melee spills into the Tall Ship beer garden gang leader, Darren, squares up to Leo. Knowing his brother's temper, Gabriel grabs Leo and diffuses the situation. Raymond, Zinnie and Stevie rush out to witness the commotion, at which point Zinnie notices a moment of recognition between Darren and Stevie. When challenged, Stevie denies it. Michael is summoned from the Health Centre to treat Adeeb. He's incensed at the whole shebang, not only have his boys been involved in this dangerous incident, their uncles have been allowing them to illegally gamble in the arcade. As the dust settles, a rather smug Lenny appears on the scene. He reminds Gabriel and Leo that he has experience in security, should they ever need anybody.
It's not long before a tabloid newspaper is sniffing around Shieldinch. The reporter baits Leo, who almost rises to it but Gabriel sends the guy packing just in time. Leo starts to panic about what the paper will print and suggests he should leave the business and disappear for a while. Gabriel's having none of it, they just need to keep calm and box clever. Soon after, Eileen arrives at the arcade to tell Gabriel and Leo about Stevie knowing the gang leader. The brothers confront Stevie and he admits a history of drug dealing with Darren but nothing else, suggesting that perhaps the raid was the work of someone wanting to encroach on their patch. They might want to consider some extra security for next time. The penny starts to drop with Gabriel and he asks Raymond to tell all about this Lenny Murdoch character. Gabriel then confronts a very smug Lenny but can prove nothing. One thing is clear, however, the Brodie Brothers won't back down without a fight.
Back at the pub, Raymond catches Stevie with his fingers in the till. Stevie states it was money he was due as he is quitting. Word has got back to the gang leader that Stevie grassed them up. He's been invited back into the gang but knows his life would not be worth living, so instead is getting the overnight bus to London. And he's off. In a poignant exchange with Eileen, Raymond realises his expectations of life, people and work are totally unrealistic. They talk frankly that they're not actually compatible and it's time for them to move on.
Jimmy's watching Madonna to let Scarlett go shopping. He's crestfallen when his offer of financial support is shunned and she asks him for his house keys back, Scarlett will never rely on him for anything ever again. Determined to stand on her own two feet, Scarlett goes looking for shifts in the pub only to find 'some wee ned' behind the bar. She thinks Jimmy is behind this stitch-up, telling Gina it's a rouse to make her financially dependent on him. Gina sympathises and suggests a wee night out to cheer Scarlett up, Molly won't mind babysitting, will she? But keen to get to her bingo, Molly bumps into Jimmy and asks him to babysit and, reluctant though he is without Scarlett's permission, he agrees to take Madonna. Caring Jimmy gives Madonna tea and puts her to bed. Meanwhile Scarlett has been away in town drinking cocktails with Gina. They pour themselves into the Tall Ship, where Scarlett gets shirty with Stevie (whom she accuses of stealing her job). Four sheets to the wind, she and Gina head home. Scarlett's raging when she arrives home to find Jimmy looking after Madonna. A heated argument ensues and Scarlett asks him for a divorce.
