Richard Hammond presents another edition of his science game show, as the Lab Rats travel back in time to Roman Britain to retrieve a ballista, a formidable siege weapon.

Lab Rats love world records. Lab Rats also like to travel back in time. So when Richard asks them to attempt to break the world javelin record, they return to Roman Britain to find a ballista, one of the most formidable siege weapons in history. The ballista was able to fire a range of projectiles at enemy soldiers, including stone balls. But will it be able to break the current world javelin record?

Meanwhile, in the lab itself, the Jelly Babes take on The Gas Gang in a game called Cling On, and do battle with the Snot Bots in the Messy Messy Mess Test.
