Russell reveals that Elgar's Pomp & Circumstance No 1 (Land Of Hope And Glory) is used as processional music on Graduation Day in most US colleges, though not all: At Tulane University, New Orleans, for instance, they use When The Saints Go Marching In - and we hear the Danny Kaye-Louis Armstrong version from The Five Pennies.
