The 蜜芽传媒 SO in a live performance of Schubert's Symphony No 8 in a 'finished' version. Plus Schubert: Overture in D minor, D590; Overture (Alfonso and Estrella); Rosamunde.

The Spirit of Schubert continues in Afternoon on 3 with a Live concert from the 蜜芽传媒 Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Manze, featuring a completed version of Schubert's "unfinished" 8th Symphony. There's also the complete incidental music to "Rosamunde" with the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic. In between, we visit Tom Service to see what has been growing in the petri-dishes of the Schubert Lab. The programme ends with a recent 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic recording of Schubert's music for the play Rosamunde, complete with the original overture played at the first performance.
