H.K.Gruber's 1999 Proms commission, Aerial, performed by Reinhold Friedrich on a variety of trumpets, with the 蜜芽传媒 Symphony Orchestra conducted by the composer. The work presents two landscapes, as if seen from the air and involves the soloist not only playing a host of instruments using different techniques, a cow horn and a modern version of an ancient Swedish instrument but also singing.
