As the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ celebrates the Sound of Cinema, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Stephen Bell take to the stage with a gala performance of award-winning classics. The concert features music that made the movies in all styles and eras, ranging from Korngold's score for the 1938 swashbuckler 'The Adventures of Robin Hood', to a selection from James Horner's recent soundtrack for the 2009 3D science-fiction epic 'Avatar', by way of classic film musicals 'My Fair Lady' and 'The Sound of Music'.
