Composed during a particularly low ebb in Schubert's short life, his monumental setting of 24 Wilhelm M眉ller poems follows a youth's demise from young love to untimely death. Austrian baritone Florian Boesch and pianist Malcolm Martineau perform this giant of the Lieder world. Recorded at the City Halls, Glasgow.
