Ed discovers that he has diabetes and his daughter, Eli, turns up to be his calorie counter- in-chief.

To escape Eli's gluten free falafel salad, Ed enrols on a clinical trial, and that's when his son, Jake turns up in the hope of a fly-on-the-wall documentary, although as Ping points out, it will only be marketable if Ed dies!
