Katie Derham presents music performed by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic. Stravinsky: Fireworks. HK Gruber: Rough Music (with Colin Currie: percussion). Bruckner: Symphony No 6.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic is joined by Colin Currie for HK Gruber's percussion concerto inspired by the medieval custom of Charivari, which entailed hitting objects to express disapproval at a villager who had been badly behaved. This is followed by a performance of Bruckner's mighty Sixth Symphony from a concert given at Leeds Town Hall in November.
