Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie talk to Mark Ellen about his book Rock Stars Stole My Life!, which chronicles his love of music and his life as editor of Smash Hits magazine.

Writer Mark Ellen tells all about his life as Editor of Smash Hits in his new book, Rock Stars Stole My Life. It's a funny, nostalgic read, which chronicles Mark's love of and life in music. As well as co-presenting the Live Aid TV broadcast in 1985, supporting QPR and diving, another brief claim to fame is playing bass in the band Ugly Rumours at Oxford Uni in the 1970s.
