Looking ahead to the start of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Proms on Friday, Penny Gore presents a week of programmes showcasing two of our performing groups - the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish & ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Symphony Orchestras - in music showing the breadth of their expertise. Today the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scottish Symphony Orchestra performs two concertos with exciting young soloists followed by Vaughan Williams's "Sea Symphony"; one of the first symphonies in which a choir is used throughout as an integral part of the musical texture.
