Continuing his journey through the communities on the shores of Loch Bracadale Allan Campbell visits the home of Willie MacAskill in Roag and Willie and his neighbour Donald John Stewart describe their memories of the village when they were young, and they talk of how things have changed. The village schooldays were difficult and uncomfortable! Secondary school at Dunvegan was more enjoyable and DJ confesses to some of his pranks! They recall winter evening cèilidhs in the village and DJ describes how he learned to play the accordion and played at community dances over the years. DJ plays a tune on the mouth-organ and also persuades Willie's nephew Donnie MacAskill to play a tune on the accordion. The programme includes a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ archive insert of Allan's 1980 conversation with the late Mary (Beaton) Montgomery describing her memories of Roag in the early decades of the 20th century, and another archive insert of her daughters Catriona and Morag reciting some of their own poetry.
