Penny Gore continues this week of performances by the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic with recordings featuring an extraordinary range of young talent. Beethoven's Second Symphony under the baton of Pablo Heras-Casado and Stravinsky's 1945 Firebird Suite with Dmitri Jurowski plus Julia Fischer as the soloist in Mendelssohn's virtuosic violin concerto and 蜜芽传媒 Radio New Generation Artist Lise Berthaud performing a viola concerto by Mozart's contemporary Franz Anton Hoffmeister. There's also a chance to preview one of the pieces the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic will be performing at this year's Proms; Schubert's fourth symphony subtitled the 'Tragic'.
