John Toal introduces the third of four recitals from this year's Clandeboye Festival, recorded at the Clandeboye Estate outside Bangor, County Down. Today's concert features pianist Barry Douglas performing selections from Brahms's Piano Pieces Op 76, music written in the summer of 1878 at P枚rtschach on Lake W枚rth. This is followed by Schubert's ever-popular Piano Quintet in A major, D. 667, the "Trout". Barry Douglas is joined by Elina V盲h盲l盲 (violin), Ruth Gibson (viola), Andr茅s D铆az (cello) and Chris Kelly (double bass).

Brahms: Piano pieces Op 76: No.1 - Capriccio in F sharp minor (Un poco agitato); No.2 - Capriccio in B minor (Allegretto ma non troppo); No.3 - Intermezzo in A flat major (Grazioso); No.5 - Capriccio in C sharp minor (Agitato, ma non troppo presto); No.8 - Capriccio in C major (Grazioso ed un poco vivace)
