The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ National Short Story Award with Book Trust 2015 is launched by the Chair of Judges, former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ foreign correspondent Allan Little, celebrating its tenth year. He'll be announcing this year's shortlist of five authors.
Co-curated by Simon Schama and coinciding with a book and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½2 series, Face of Britain is an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery exploring the history of the country through portraiture. Charlotte Mullins reviews.
As a new production of Jane Eyre opens at the National Theatre, director Sally Cookson discusses the show's evolution: the whole cast working together to create it without a script.
The Oscar nominated film Tangerines is set in a village where two isolated Estonian farmers tend a tangerine orchard while the 1992 Abkhazia war rages. Journalist Matt Potter, who has reported from Eastern Europe, reviews.

Simon Schama's Face of Britain
Simon Schama’s exhibition is at the National Portrait Gallery in London until 4 January 2016 and admission is free. The accompanying book is out now, and the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Two five-part series begins at 9pm on 30 September.
