Ian Skelly presents highlight concerts and recordings given by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Performing groups this year. The programme begins with music from a concert the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ National Orchestra of Wales gave at St David's Hall in Cardiff, featuring Rachmaninov's choral symphony The Bells, for which they were joined by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ National Chorus of Wales and soloists Anastasia Kalinga, John Daszak and Mikhail Petrenko. Then to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic for performances of Haydn's Symphony no.44, 'Trauer', and Schubert's Symphony no.9 'The Great' both conducted by Juanjo Mena.
