Series in which UK families explore the possibility of moving to Australia or New Zealand. Australian-born Shari and her husband Karie spend a trial week in Perth.

Australia-born Shari was travelling in the UK - and just six months away from returning to her home country - when she met future husband Karie. While she was upfront with him about her desire to return down under from the start of their relationship, eight years later the couple are still in the UK, and Shari is now desperate to return home.

Karie is worried about leaving family and friends behind in the UK and about his work prospects in Australia. But the issue of where he and Shari will live in the future could put their relationship at stake. The couple spend a trial week in Perth.

Atikins family update

After filming, Shari and Karie visited Melbourne where Shari applied for a senior management role in a government department.聽 She accepted a six month contract in July and relocated to Victoria 3 weeks later.聽

Karie remains in the UK where he鈥檚 been working on his visa application.聽 Ultimately the couple hope to move to Perth鈥ogether!
