Lauren Laverne has a session from Mutual Benefit, who bring their folk-inflected Americana to the 6 Music Live Room.

Mutual Benefit bring their folk-inflected Americana to the 6 Music Live Room with tracks from their new album 'Skip A Sinking Stone' which comes out on Transgressive on 20th May. Singer-songwriter Jordan Lee crafted the songs on the back of the success of the band's first album 'Love's Crushing Diamond'. The 1st half of the record is awash with strings, a love letter to his time on the road touring, and The 2nd half a more introspective take on his post-touring regime in New York. Whichever mood they feel like creating, we can't wait to welcome them back for another magical session.

As it's Thursday we'll also be going through another Peoples Playlist, and serving up a Headphones Moment, along with all the usual unusual.
