Sean Rafferty's guests include tenor Paul Appleby ahead of Glyndebourne's production of Berlioz's 'Beatrice et Benedict'. Members of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain join us live in the studio to perform some smaller scale music before their appearance at the ѿý Proms. Soprano Soraya Mafi, winner of the 2016 Susan Chilcott Scholarship for British opera singers will also be in the studio to perform live. Plus a chance to hear performances from the first ѿý Introducing Classical Showcase recorded at Cheltenham Music Festival and featuring Iosif Purits (accordion); Maria Razumovskaya (piano) and the early music ensemble, Blondel.
