Boxed In bring their experimental electronic sounds to the 6 Music Live Room, plus Lauren Laverne sends another castaway to the Desert Island Disco.

Boxed In bring their infectious, experimental electronic sound to the Live Room. Their 2nd album 'Melt' is released on 23rd September and we're chuffed they're celebrating with us. We had the first play of singles 'Jist' and 'Forget' which you'll have heard bouncing around the station over the lasst couple of months. The album is co-produced by Dan Carey, and finds lead singer and songwriter Oli Bayston in a positive mood. If their self-titled debut was a breakup record, then 'Melt' is a reconciliation.

Lauren puts one listener behind the decks at the Desert Island Disco, there's more new music for our Just Added playlist, a Headphones Moment and a bunch of top tunes to bring in the weekend.
