Speak Up for Nature

Oxford Island is a national nature reserve of 282 acres, on the Southern shores of Lough Neagh. It’s home to amazing wildlife and habitats unique to this place, so it’s the perfect place to 'speak up for Nature' - exactly the plan and the name of an event on there this week.
Verse And Vision From Beneath The Hat

Next, we’re off to Drumquin in Tyrone, where there is a man called Paddy Montague who is so attached to his place, that he is about to publish a book of poetry and pictures inspired by where he lives. Verse And Vision From Beneath The Hat will be launched at Omagh Library on Wednesday 19th October.
Bagenal's Castle

Back in 1996, historic Bagenal's Castle in Newry was rediscovered - having survived, hidden, in what used to be McCann's Bakery on Abbey Way. Since then, Newry and Mourne council set about preserving and restoring this ancient local heritage site, and now, it’s living a new life as a Museum and Tourist Information Centre.Â
