Tom Redmond presents a concert performed by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Philharmonic conducted by Nicholas Collon live from MediaCityUK in Salford. On the programme is Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony, and as part of Aon3's British Music Season, Mary Bevan joins the orchestra for Britten's ravishing song cycle setting texts by Rimbaud, Les Illuminations. Then it's back to the studio with Katie Derham for a performance of Elgar's lyrical Sospiri.
