Stuart Maconie and Mark Radcliffe are joined by singer Frank Turner ahead of his 2,000th gig on Thursday 15th December. Francis Edward Turner, or Frank to his friends, was born in Manama, Bahrain and moved to Hampshire when he was a child. He later upped sticks to London and joined post-hardcore group Million Dead. The band split in 2005 and a year later Frank released his first solo EP. He's since then been a stalwart of the live scene, and famously played on a grassy hill during the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony. He's now the subject of a new film called Get Better: A Film About Frank Turner which is airing in London this week.
