The Quietus call her a 'stone cold original' and Annette has been a true trailblazer, starting as a child prodigy she married Gary Peacock age 19, hung out with Albert Ayler, turned down David Bowie's invitation to tour with him, convinced Robert Moog to give her a prototype Moog synthesiser and proceeded to sing into it, something no one else had thought of at the time. Annette's lyrics cover sex, culture, innuendo and aspirations with sass and intelligence, in her own words "danger is nourishment for the brave".
