Jamieson Family
A declaration of love led Hedydd to postpone her plans to move to Australia. Now over a decade later, can she persuade her husband to pursue her dream life there?
When Hedydd Jamieson's husband Steven first declared undying love for her 16 years ago, her plans for a forthcoming trip to Australia were abruptly abandoned. Now owners of a busy restaurant, the couple are struggling to combine working 70-plus hours a week with bringing up their three young sons. Desperate to address their work-life balance, Hedydd has resurrected her dream of making Australia her home and, believing emigrating would help give them the family time they need, she is more passionate than ever about making the move.
But while Steven agrees their lives have been taken over by work, he has reservations about giving up the restaurant and moving halfway round the world to a country he has never even visited. Oldest son Leon shares his dad's reluctance - close to grandparents and friends, he doesn't want to turn his back on a life he is already happy with.
A trial week in Australia's sunny Gold Coast lives up to Hedydd's expectations and gives Steven and Leon a real taste of what their life could be like down under. But will it be enough to convince them to move thousands of miles from home?

Jamieson family update
We caught up with the Jamieson family late last year and they told us they booked to fly out on New Year’s Eve 2016. They were still in the process of securing a house and school for the children.
Hedydd managed to secure a visa with a Yacht Club in New South Wales to work as their restaurant manager. Meanwhile, the same company has also given Steven a job as second chef in their other premises.
We wish the family all the best for their new life down under.
