With Tom Williams in session

Tom Williams is live in session, plus Lauren Laverne puts one listener behind the decks at the Desert Island Disco.

Tom Williams may have docked his boat but he's still making fine music and he joins Lauren in the 6 Music Live Room to play two tracks from his latest album All Change.

Released on the 26th of May via Caroline International, Tom describes his latest record as the record he's been trying to make for ten years and he managed to make it by mistake. Well, we at 6 Music reckon that was a very happy mistake indeed.

The ten track collection was written in practice rooms across Kent in-between breaks from teaching guitar and songwriting to school children. With a backing band that is made up of first year music tech students from Leeds Beckett University, All Change pay fine homage to Williams' love of 1970's American rock and showcases Tom's new found confidence in his craft.

Session aside, Lauren also puts one listener behind the decks at the Desert Island Disco, there's more new music for our Just Added playlist, a Headphones Moment and a bunch of top tunes to bring in the weekend.
