Nicola Heywood Thomas introduces the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ National Orchestra of Wales, live from Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff in a programme of French tone poems as part of Afternoon on 3's tone poem theme. We'll hear Franck, Honegger and d'Indy all inspired by mountains. Plus Peter Moore joins the orchestra for pieces for trombone and orchestra by Takemitsu and Milhaud. Then back to the studio with Penny Gore for music by Johann Strauss II.
