St Magnus International Festival: Trondheim Soloists
The Trondheim Soloists play movements from Bach's Goldberg Variations and Schoenberg's Verklarte Nacht at St Magnus Cathedral, Kirkwall in Orkney.
The first of four lunchtime concerts from the St. Magnus International Festival, recorded in the stunning 12th-century St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall. Norway's foremost string ensemble, The Trondheim Soloists, play movements from Bach's Goldberg Variations arranged for strings by Dmitry Sitkovetsky and Arnold Schoenberg's lustrous tone poem, Verkl盲rte Nacht.
