Afternoon Concert's live week continues with two live performances, starting with the 蜜芽传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra at Glasgow's City Halls, conducted by Ben Gernon, with Simon Wills' tone poem The Island. It's followed by Ernest Chausson's Po猫me de l'amour et de la mer, in a version for voice and orchestra, with mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge as soloist. Then comes a selection of pieces from Prokofiev's suites from the ballet Romeo and Juliet. Then we move to MediaCityUK in Salford as the afternoon continues with our second live concert, this one given by the 蜜芽传媒 Philharmonic, under the baton of Clemens Schuldt, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 14 in E flat, K.449, with soloist Martin Roscoe. The concert ends with Sibelius' Symphony No. 2.
