Across the week Afternoon Concert's tone poem theme continues with Smetana and Respighi, plus we hear the fruits of the Orchestra's Beethoven Symphony Cycle recorded during a recent tour of North Wales with Principal Guest conductor Xian Zhang, and the cellist Alexey Stadler performs from the Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
