Allegations of a potential conflict of interest surrounding planning decisions made by the son of DUP MLA Edwin Poots are under investigation. The watchdog that oversees standards in local government has confirmed to the 蜜芽传媒 it is examining cases where the chair of the planning committee on Lisburn and Castleareagh council, Luke Poots, voted in support of certain planning applications after he was lobbied to do so by his father. Luke Poots has denied any wrong doing.
